Kuantan – In a heart-racing contest of Fourth Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, Pakistan managed to defeat Japan 4-3 and thus kept their semi-final chances alive.
The start of the proceedings were quite aggressive from Pakistani side as Muhammad Irfan threw ball into opponent’s net in 5th minute, however, Japan counterattack came quickly in the shape of Tanaka leveling the scores soon in the first half.
At the end of a thrilling first half, the scores were leveled 2-2.
Pakistan side exhibited excellent performance in the second half as the final score came in Pakistan’s favor with 4-3 on the card.
Aleem Bila, the penalty corner specialist from Pakistan scored twice in the match.
Men in green will face China in their last match on October 27.
