Paradise Lost…! – Noushah Arshad

By: Noushah Arshad

In the darkness of night when stars twinkle at the sky, I sit near the window and think of all those days that have passed by, full of memories of those near me, who cared for me and loved me. I adore my past with all its shadows and lights.

I think of all those friends who were with me, who stood by my side when I felt alone and then one day, they just disappeared in the mist of the sky.

By: Noushah Arshad

Another year is just passing by. Winds of change are here again, with their majestic feel and fragrance. Gusts of cool breeze are touching my face to let me feel the change that is taking place. I feel as if everything in this world is meant to be changed. Nothing remains the same from its birth till death. Nature changes its colors from autumn to spring, from winter to summer. People change, sometimes apparently and sometimes entirely as if they have been transformed.

Theodore Roosevelt said,” There are some people who are born great; others have greatness thrust upon them.” I am lucky to know a woman who was born great. I saw her when I first opened my eyes in this world. She taught to me everything… From walking, talking to reading, writing, and doing some little good deeds too. In short she taught me to live. I learned from her the secrets of living a good life in this cruel world.

My Pakistan – Noushah Arshad

Marriott Hoetl Blast Islamabad Pakistan

By: Noushah Arshad

My dearest Pakistan,

I am one of your children who have been enjoying your lovely seasons and eye catching scenes through out my life. You are the one who brought me up and taught me to see the world and understand it. I learned to crawl on your sweet scented soil when I was of few months. When I saw the first rainfall, it was your independence day. Your blue skies and chirping birds have always been a source of inspiration me.

TIME – Do We Care? – Noushah Arshad

By: Noushah Arshad

According to Oxford dictionary, time is what is measured in minutes, hours and days but unfortunately we, Pakistanis, don’t seem to measure it at all. We just spend it without caring its importance. There are thousands of examples in our daily life where we waste time and don’t even feel that we have lost some really important moments of our life which will never come back again.

Zaavia – A Lifetime Treasure – Noushah Arshad

By: Noushah Arshad

ashfaq ahmad

22nd August, a day when a life was brought from heavens to the earth. No one knew that one day he will become the mentor of thousands of people all over the world; he will bring luck and happiness into the lives of depressed ones. He was named Ashfaq Ahmed Khan, the most respected and beloved Baba Ji of many of us.

His play “Mann Chalay ka Sauda” was the first introduction, of his magical personality, to me. At that time I was quite young to understand his immense knowledge of philosophy and spirituality which was explained in the play. For many years I considered him just a writer who writes somewhat unique and different plays.

In December 2004, three months after his death, my father brought his book Zaavia-1 for me. Before reading that book, I never knew that I was going to dive in an ocean of love and care. It proved to be a powerful healer for me. As I kept on reading the book, my problems gradually disappeared and I started feeling blessed. It was as if I was getting a new life from the book.
